There’s always a lot of information. Here you find some of what’s good to know when you consider studying at IBIOS.
Application and dates
You apply to IBIOS by filling the forms we send you after you have announced your interest to study at IBIOS. Your application should be sent before the 1st of March 2012. The applicant has to be 18 years old. The fall semester starts on Monday 20th of August and ends on 21st of December 2012. The spring semester starts on 97th of January and ends on 31st of May 2013.
Visa
If you are not a Swedish citizen you need to apply for a student visa at the Swedish embassy in your country.To be approved student VISA for studying in Sweden you have to make sure to cover the basic requirements. Please read carefully the information on the Swedish Migration Board homesite on “Residence permits for other types of study courses”. Visa applications take a period of 3-6 months so you are advised to start in good time.
Fees
The application fee of 50 Euro is due with the application. This fee can be paid through a Bank Draft or Bank transfer to: Payable to:CITYKYRKAN BIBELSKOLA (+ your name) Bank: SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken), Currency: Swedish Krona (SEK), Account number: SE 16 5000 0000 0526 7332 5263, Swift Code: ESSESESS
Your application will be proceded when the money is transfered.
The registration fee of 2500 SEK plus the school fee of 15.300 SEK must be paid in full and is due at 1st August. Only students who have paid full school fees of 17.800 SEK before the start of school will be accepted. The fees include tutoring, course literature and access to computor and printing.
The cost for the compulsory mission trip will be about 5000 SEK (for a country in Europe), or 10.00-15.000 SEK (for a country in Africa)
Accomodation
You are fully responsible for your own accommodation, however, we will help you as applicant as much as possible. Make sure you are planning well as it can be hard to find somewhere to live in Stockholm. IBIOS has a limited number of rooms for students to rent. Contact us for more information at info@ibios.se
Work
Only students from the EU region are permitted to work in Sweden. Students from countries outside EU is not permitted to work in Sweden according to VISA regulations.
